An Interesting Question About The Fall Of Communism

The Soviet empire fell twenty years ago, but you don't seem to hear much about it. For the most part, it was a brief flurry of activity occurring at the end of a long and slow decline. There's no question that the end of the Cold War was a big event in the free world. Why have we ignored it over the years?
