I was born in Maryland and spent my first thirty years living there in the mountains, on the Eastern Shore, and in suburban Washington. After a year in South Carolina, I moved to Georgia in 1977, met and married a wonderful woman, and, with her, raised three children. In 2007, I retired from a career dedicated to preserving and interpreting resources and themes in the cultural and natural history of the United States. Today, my wife and I enjoy living in the rolling hills and woods of the Appalachian Piedmont about twenty five miles east of Atlanta.
Have some chilling laughs today by checking out Diversity Lane, the product of artist/cartoonist Zack Rawsthorne. Love the music on the homepage; perfect for the lefty mindset.
I'm so happy only one of my distant neighbors has a serious infection of "progressive" thinking.

Drinking a beer in a hammock under a banana tree for you down here in Nicaragua... thought you'd appreciate that. Hasta luego...
